Montana - No Sales Tax

You would think the first thing I would write about Montana would be the "big sky" vistas. But no, the first thing I noticed was the fact there is no sales tax. Having spent the winter and spring in Arizona and California where state, county, city, and lodging/resort taxes added 10-15% to my bill, it is a delight to pay only the sticker price. Makes me wonder why the other states cannot do the same.

Just one more reason that Montana is a favorite state of mine. Say hello to the "Bad Girls" of Missoula for me if you see them out washing cars!

I started my full-timer journey while living in California, and left on the road FT in September.

I do miss the wide variety of food: restaurants and produce. But I do not miss the high price of gas, nor the high cost of living.

I just can't see living there again for any length of time. Until I win the lottery or sweepstakes, that is.

I lived in Dana Point, California back in the 80s. I loved the weather, the ocean, and the beautiful women but the traffic, the crowds, and the expense definitely lowered the quality of life. Good luck with the lottery/sweepstakes.
