Massive Fireworks Display
When I arrived in Crescent City last Monday, I asked one of the locals if they were going to have a fireworks show for the 4th of July. She said "no" they were cancelled due to the virus. Well, somebody did not get the memo as the following has been going on since about 7:00 p.m. and it's almost 11:00 p.m. as I write this...

Pretty impressive for no fireworks display. Where did you find to stay in Crescent city. We want down by marina or Redwoods out of town.
I am staying at the Bayside RV Park next to the City Harbor. It is near the water and has large, level sites. The downside has been the wind and a fog horn that sounds off every ten seconds at night. If you want to be out by the redwoods, the Redwood Meadows RV Resort appears to be a good choice.
Yeah we looked up Redwoods meadow and they actually have openings. I grew up on the coast and miss the foghorn. I slept real well last Aug when we were there, so that won't be an issue. Sounds like your having a good trip. We are heading out, hopefully the 17th.
